Lighting Cameraman Stephen Sands and TV journalist Nicola Sands founded Applehead Media with a shared vision to combine their skills and help businesses achieve their goals through great video storytelling.
Stephen has filmed for some of the biggest shows on television including I’m a Celebrity, X Factor and Real Housewives as well as high profile factual series like The Tonight Show and Panorama.
Nicola is an accomplished former TV journalist who spent more than a decade at ITV Yorkshire where she won several awards for her work including ‘Presenter Of The Year’ from the Royal Television Society.
Together they have built a team of TV industry professionals from their network who bring their skills and expertise to every project. With backgrounds in every type of television production including directing, script writing and post production, these experts bring a wealth of experience to help business clients reach their goals.
THE STUDIO
In 2023, Applehead Media took a bold move and opened its first studio in Altrincham, South Manchester to offer additional ways for clients to tell their stories in the digital, on-demand landscape where modern audiences now consume their content.
It has become one of the north-west’s most exciting and innovative creative spaces that includes a video podcast set, green screen backdrop and post-production facility.
Leading companies such as ITV, Cadent Gas and Network Plus regularly utilise the studio to produce outstanding video storytelling.
